Fighting for a South Bay that works for all of us, not just the wealthy and well-connected
South Bay on the DL (Democratic Left) is a grassroots, progressive group of neighbors, friends and activists organizing to make the South Bay (LA) a more fair and equitable place for everyone.
We began as a monthly social meetup at a local brewpub, sharing ideas about how to make the South Bay a place where everyone is welcomed and can live a life of dignity no matter their income or background. Today, we're growing into an action-oriented movement putting power back into the hands of the working class.
With rising housing costs and political leadership that too often resists progress, the South Bay is becoming increasingly unlivable for all but the well-off. We believe a better future is possible, but not without working people fighting to make it happen.
"The destiny of America is always safer in the hands of the people than in the conference rooms of any elite."
- George McGovern
